HCR12S-40 is a metric hydraulic-cylinder rod end bearing for compact cylinder-side linkage assemblies. It combines a Forged, heat-treated C45 / AISI 1045 steel housing with a bearing shell and inner ring made from 100Cr6 / AISI 52100 bearing steel, hardened and ground; phosphate and molybdenum-disulfide surface treatment. It uses a right-hand M27x2 thread.
The size-40 configuration has a 100 mm outer diameter, 28 mm inner ring width, 23 mm bearing width, 105 mm medium length, 45 mm diameter, 37 mm thread length, 153 mm overall length. Published performance values are 43-120 μm internal clearance, 100 kN dynamic load rating, 156 kN static load rating, 90 mm collar diameter, 7° tilt angle, 49 Nm torque, and approximately 2160 g weight.
